Positives from draw for Ladies Seconds

Posted by Tim Greenfield on 14 February 2018

Travelling to Skegness on a cold wet February afternoon is not the most enticing for a game of hockey, however we can't influence the weather and were soon on the pitch ready to play!!

Alford started very positively and spent much of the first half attacking our goal.  However with some great defending and support from the midfield the score was 0-0 at half time.

We started the second half with plenty of play in Alford's half with some lovely passing up both sides of the pitch, we had a couple of shots on goal but didn't quite manage to get the ball past the keeper.  The final score was 0-0 but we can take plenty of positives with a number of players playing in different positions, well played everyone.

Player of the match - Layla

Team - Annie, Catherine, Lesley, Veron, Teresa, Georgi, Mary, Shannon, Layla, Imo, Sarah M and Georgia
