Could you be a young umpire?

The East Young Umpire Pathway is running a series of Young Umpire Training Day's across the region.
This is a great first step to get involved in officiating and start your umpiring career.
Who is it for?
People who are keen to umpire that are of secondary school age (11 - 16 years old)
When and where is it?
A number of events are being held across the region, in June and July
How much is it?
£20 per person to attend, which includes a whistle and a free umpiring shirt! However, LCHUA will reimburse any Lincolnshire based Young Umpire that takes part that then Umpires at Lincolnshire based events
What do I get out of it?
You will become an East qualified Young Umpire, which will allow you to officiate at a number of in2hockey events. You'll be able to umpire the junior games within your club, and get the opportunity to progress further by umpiring at junior county events, such as Academy Centres. You'll also be added to the East Young Umpire Pathway's Academy Programme, where the support team of coaches and mentors will be on hand to help your progression and development. Don't worry, you wont be asked to umpire for the adult sides on a Saturday just yet.
What do I need to attend?
Notepad and pen, refreshments for the day and your playing kit - yes you get to play! This course involves both theory and practical elements, and is highly interactive to ensure you learn as much as you can, but also have a fun time. All the umpiring bits you may need (such as a whistle) will be provided upon arrival.
